Care for the environment at every stage of Graypants production was put on an equal footing with great care for the quality of the final product. Each lamp was designed in a studio in Seattle and made entirely by hand in a studio in Amsterdam. The precisely laser-cut cardboard comes from recycling, and the adhesives used do not emit harmful substances. The cardboard lamps are covered with a fire-retardant, non-toxic varnish.
